Some macro pics with my new cam.

Anyway, as far as scene modes are concerned, Fujifilm programmers seem to be very lazy. Always providing just 4 scene modes. Not very good for beginner photographers. Wonder why they don't bother to catch up with other manufacturers. AF assist lamp also, many of it's models lack it.

Sorry for my lamenting, just been thinking about what they've been thinking.

haiz...today went to take a look at the real thing...was quite disappted that the F11 is made of wad-seems-to-be cheap and light plastic...the whole cam looks not reali impressive leh...wad do u guys tink?? :(

Don't judge the book by its cover :D

well if i was going to take pics OF the f11 then yeah i might feel disappointed... but then i'm going to take pics WITH the f11 and i love it :bsmilie:

to set the record straight, i do like the look of the f11 too. i dun think its any less sturdy then an ixus or fx9. and lightweight is good cos i put in my pants pocket. so for me it looks good, feels good, shoots good. i'm very happy with it :p

go take pictures with it.. and you'll know which camera is good for your needs...

huh... nvr felt that my beloved fuji is plasticky... are you sure u're holding a F11? actually i love the brushed aluminum feel ;p feels so pro :bsmilie:

Wanna share this photo taken at a Chinatown shop using N-Mode, no flash, light only comes from flourescent. PS a bit though because white balance was set at AUTO. F2.8@ISO1600 and the noise level is impressive. Very bimbo since I just point and shoot. Camera select everything.

The interface is actually very intuitive and cheapo is kinda subjective. My left hand is holding a big grapefruit and a small D70 bag so I only have my right hand to on/off my Fuji, shoot, set macro and zoom in/out, and chimp with the F11 strap around my wrist. It worked wonderfully. And lastly, F11 is not meant to be a fashion accessory.

hmm...okie...thks for all the feedbacks bros! Happy CNY to all!! :D

shutter lag -
I assume this means the time lapsed between when you press the button and when pic is taken?

I actually thought it was kind of slow (felt like more than 1 sec) and felt like I was missing a lot of moments until I switched to "fast shooting" mode. Then it felt more like 0.01 sec (or just much faster).

hmm...fast shootg mode? is it like a programmed mode?? can i still play wif the aperture and shutter speed using this fast shootg mode??

I'm not sure about the shutter lag since shutter should be precise or else it need repair. Perhaps you are referring to the time it takes to convert and save the phot into the memory card? What is "fast shooting"?

Yep, you can still adjust with apperture or shutter but not both (no manual mode).

My fault... just to keep the record straight... shutter lag is actually = autofocus lag + shutter release lag. I misread it as the exposure time between actual and selected shutter speed. No wonder there is a new feature called high-speed mode. Sorry... =)

Wow! Very impressive pictures indeed. Would one compare this with the Panasonic DMC-LX1?

Different class of cameras. But to really compare their image quality, the LX1 has poor high ISO performance.
