Your motivation on Carl Zeiss lenses is partially true. Realize that for ultimate results you need a matching body to get the best out of these lenses. I can tell, I use CZ on a Minolta 5D and I still know the effort I need to put in to get the final result I am looking for.

But lenses, you buy them for many many years to come. Bodies are easily replacable as far as I am concerned.

Yes, same here. I was wanting to switch to D90 or 500D from my previous A300.

After thinking for quite a while, decided to upgrade to A700 last week. Reckon that the video function in upcoming A5xx bodies should be able to outclass all competitors like what their AF Liveview has done....

And because of A700, the poison has worsen and got myself a 1680z yesterday to pair with it...
