with your subject being the islands in the background, i would suggest drawing attention to them by an ultra panoramic crop (i love pano's btw). this will focus the viewer on the interesting elements of the photo (ships, mountains) while cropping out the less interesting foreground and the sky. i think the colour toning that you did for this photo really brings out the "old world" feel well, and who knows? this photo could feel very comfortable hanging on the walls of an old british clubhouse.
