oh i dun shoot for fun and give my customers s**t* photos eventhough they come in with clothes and makeup not to my liking.

i will make sure she will have a makeup done with a proper makeup artist and my studio with a wardrobe with clothes that suits her if not, go and buy... for u professinalism and results can be compromised, not me.

After that, I came on and asked if you are sure as I counted 12 pics in digital and gave details of the camera used. Your immediate reply was to curse and swear still denying it. Sorry, it was taken with a P&S but it's taken at the same time as yours and that's what I see your worth as.

Forget about MUA, dressing and all that jazz. You can't even ensure that the models for shoots you organise are available on the appointed day and will cancel a shoot because you have a personal shoot. Professionalism, my sore ass.

Well, I believe you never had formal instruction and your lack of understanding of photography certainly does show it.
As for the photo posted - you still don't understand that photos can be used as evidence and not just pretty pics to admire in your bathroom. For the final time, I posted that to show you did attend a group shoot and dispel any notions that you gave others that you only shoot nudes which cannot be uploaded here. But then you are always like "a dead chicken kicking the pot cover" and need to have evidence plastered on your face.

i cancel my shoot yes because no one sign up yet, if someone sign up, i will continue. i believe some who learn abit of law shd noe, if i offer something, no one take it, i can change. if someone took my offer, i will fullfill. dun argue just for the sake of arguing.

fyi, last week shoot. only 3 participants i still go onz. and the shoot wasn't nice, i replace any shoot for them FOC.... dun tok abt organising shoot with me, i m willing to give more than i take. u can?

Yes, you did - but finally after being confronted with the facts as to how many pics were taken with what camera.

Because unlike you I don't try to hide the fact that was what I was shooting with. I picked a pic that was taken as long ago as yours and then that was the only camera I had to play with. Anyway, I don't need a butcher's knife to kill chicken.

Talking through your arse again? Firstly, you were the one who brought up the subject of professionalism. Secondly, you completely missed the point of how these examples show your lack of professionalism. You said you will go to all lengths including shopping clothes for "customers" to ensure everything goes right for a shoot. Yet, there you were failing at the 1st step - to ensure the models and yourself are available on the designated date of the shoot. You fixed the date before you invited CSers to join your shoot for stated compensation. What kind of an organiser gathers photographer clients for a shoot without checking if he, *himself* can fulfill his promise? A very, very irresponsible one.
As for your comments on history, photography is about history. It is a record of what existed and what you saw, whether displayed artistically or not, whether tempered with your vision or otherwise. You have further to go learning about photography than I thought.

Maybe you think you are a amateur photographer who shoots in your free time and the world will be kinder to you, I don't really think so... you want to post your shots here, you must be mentally prepared to get all sorts of reactions and comments. This is part and parcel of the hobby/profession.

If you turn pro and shoot for editorials, you soon realise the world out there is even more cruel. Well... I am saying too much. Anyway... have fun shooting... art is about enjoyment, you guys here are making it otherwise.

Pro, to set the record straight. I attended other organisers shoot as well. By attending Charby shoot is becos we are friends, and wanna have fun with other photographer friends as well. But that does not constitute he is 'THE ONLY SUCCESSFUL' organiser. (I hope we don't bring Charby into this, he is too nice. ) What really makes a good organiser, in your opinion? Have you ever been to any one organised shoot here and see how one's work?

Each organiser has his/her strengths and weaknesses. Success again isn't measure by the number of ppl attenting the shoot. If you are counting on that, I think to be fair, SLCC has the largest number and more interesting trips for both locals n overseas. Each large group shoot comes with a leader and each large shoot comes with buffet lunch or dinner. Can't they be called successful as well???

Suekay go to such an extend to rent a dance studio and buffet for a group of photographers to shoot. Becos some of the photogrpahers dunno how to automatic, Suekay being called lousy?

Gravemaid, created a website for CS photographers and think of concepts out of ordinary for photographers and search for interesting and different locations each time for her shoot. Is she less successful?

About me, for you to find out. Maybe what I am know is the only organiser who cancel or postphone shoots evey often. Well, " xin soo seah lan chye" :cry:

What I can see is from SLCC models are mostly teenager, and they mainly cater for their students and most students have budget. Makeup is always good but maybe now wanna try new things which cause some uproar. Clothings I guess they have to think about it seriuosly. If they are teenager, just do teenager theme shoot. It can be fun too, to do like sports or beach volley or same action sport photography. Just an suggestion, paiseh busybody.

And what pray does your challenge hope to achieve or prove? Prowess with a camera or ability to learn an aspect of photography will not change the fact that in the instances cited you failed miserably as an organiser and did not exercise what you preached.
All it will do is make a laughing stock out of the pair of us - 2 inept beginners trying to show who is the better of the worst. As I said, it is ridiculous. It would be better for all if you show where I went wrong advising the thread-starter that changing the pics to B/W could salvage the pics especially now it seems you specialise in B/W. Or explain how your points on getting the correct custome, makeup etc would still be valid when the model, the subject, does not show.
As for courage (I presume you mean balls not boss), I have enough official commendations and testominies to my courage whilst in the service to want any from you. Go hunt and shoot a portrait of the Bengal tiger in the wild with a 200mm lens and you will earn my respect - as a dedicated photographer and maybe a good shoot organiser as well. I am sure you will earn the respect of all and promote the good name of CS too.:cheers:
