you may write an official email to them, i had given up hope trying to phone.

nowadays i will just go into their HQ at Somerset and settle the matter on the spot.

Red cable really sux big time... cannot surf & customer service lines all not working....

Nowadays alot of the call centres use VOIP (voice over IP) so the voice calls are routed thru the internet, so internet down, call centre also cannot call lor.

No warning...if nt, I jump ship to Starhub.

is yr plan billed by data usage ? or unlimited usage ? i got a fren who took up a plan which has a usage cap. She did not care abt it and kept watch videos on Youtube... and Youtube is very huge in data size. The bill came and she screams.. but she lost her case still becos her plan she took up has a data limit cap.. any extra is billed.

how abt GREEN cable ? ;)

Please note that the latency and disruption was due to the damage in the underwater cables becos of the Taiwan Earthquake that happene last night. All the service providers and Telcos in Asia Pacific are affected. I cannot trade in office cos of the netwrok.. .so I come home.

my msn seems to be down again.
it worked for like an hour.

guys, many major undersea network cables have been damaged because of the Taiwan quakes (note there was a second one at about 11am today). live with it, this latency/ time-out issue is going to last weeks until the carriers can get ships out there, isolate and fix the faults.

Relax... Haha... I'm just wondering how my office will operate without internet for so long.

agree...that's why I am home liao..:bsmilie:

that's why ppl like me are still in the office trying to coordinate workarounds to our Taiwan office. dunno if i shd laugh, its been one crazy day

Satay, i didn't mean to be harsh but thats reality. from the postings i've seen it seems we're all hell-bent on whacking our ISPs and no one actually pays attention to reading even a few past threads before shooting their mouths off. as much as i don't care for our ISPs as a personal user, this situation is really out of anyone's hands until the cables are repaired. so any amount of griping isn't going to do anything for anyone. so i say again, live with it. maybe its a sign for everyone to spend more time with their cameras ;)
