I doubt cos if its really the case - lots of pple might just put their Apple purchases on hold & wait for donations! If wait for this type of customer, might as well close shop cos business would be crawling ...........

lol felt this was pretty entertaining.....

first we have those used lingerie sellers....stained with whateva perverts want.........acompanied by this "wannabe lingerie models" who throw in a sexy pose or two with their heads cropped....

lastly soft porn sellers who sell home made videos to finance their watsoever wants....again we cant see their cheap faces...

If you read about this in his bio:

"Audi TT Coupe. HH and i saw the car up close for the first time during our Spain holiday. at that instant, i've decided it was to be my dream car. HH bought it last year 'cos my fascination for it didn't wear off. i was probably talking about it in my sleep! *LOL*

Mr. TT is also the first sign of committment in our relationship. so it means alot to me."

Erm... Sugar mommy perhaps?

Well, say it nicely if you want, but I think it's a cheap slu*ty way to ask someone for something (be it be whether you are asking for it in jest or not).

Mind me for the language. Oops.

I have been approached by a 25+ years old guy THREE TIMES in city hall area for $$ in the last 6 months

he claimed that he dun have $$ to go home, the first time i gave him abt $1.2, which should be enough for him to go home by public transport

but he asked if i can give him more, he asked for $10!!! i almost wanted to snatch back my $ from him, very clearly that asking for bus fare to go home is just an excuse.

for the next 2 occasions, i just ignore him, seems that he has been begging around for a long time liao.

he looks healthy and decently dressed (in branded clothing somemore), may be next time i will tell him to find some work to do instead...

wai and guyz,

If u ever encounter such an idiot, juz throw him the middle finger and point to the number '9' on ur HP.

Kinda 'extreme' method. But it's the best method to deal with idiots like dis....

Ah well, I guess so. ;)

well,... be thankful that we can choose whether we have to give him 10 cents or nothing.... :D

"beh hiao pai", this guy :D

but on a more serious note, i'm helping to chalk up some funds for my fellow NIE-mates who are going to Sikkim, India, to help raise the standards of the children living there. i'll probably add in a thread link from here soon.

i cannot understand the vicious attacks made in this forum..

seriously, why do you guys think that just because someone donates to his laptop means that charity gets less money?? isn't that a pretty narrow view of things? did you mean to say that by not donating to him, you will donate the very same amount to charity?

i hear nothing but jealousy in your voices..

very singaporean indeed... sigh..

:(

Perhaps it's time for you to open your ears (and eyes) bigger and re-read the comments posted in this thread.

In case you are still clouded by your prejudiced mind, it's Disgust.

well i think selling his stuff is a good idea...so is his scrimping n saving...and offering to be social escort...whatever..

but asking for money is just outright shameless...

Bear in mind that whenever you point ur finger at someone, 3 others point back at you.

Voicing your opinion is one thing, branding others as such and such based on their opinion is more akin to bigotry.

And what is "very singaporean"? Another polarized view thru your Rayban shades perhaps? Or do you wear cokin filters on as contacts?

Hullo? Did we say charity would get less money? We said there're worthier causes for our money to go to. If its a choice between him & charity, it'd be charity.

My, my, very presumptious indeed. Where did you get the idea that we are jealous?

Purleeez nationality has got nothing to do with how we feel about this.

I agree with those who criticise him. This guy whatever his intentions are, to seek publicity, seek Apple's sponsorship etc...don't matter to me.

To me, his is just a spoilt child, living beyond his means and then trying hard to be innovative to meet his desires, NOT NEEDS!

This guy probably is used to asking his folks for money, so now that he is grown up and holding a job, he still ask for handouts. These are the pple we don't need as Singaporean.

For all of your who think is alright and that it is his rights, I am telling u, u are all misguided and DEAD WRONG.

Charity and asking for handouts are different things. Charity is when someone donates money to needy people who can't meet their basic needs in life. Buggers like him are asking pple for money because it is his birthday/to satisfy his cravings? What rubbish, if u ask me.

If anything, this person has a character flaw, his cannot manage his life and is not aware that there are other pple in the world who are less fortunate than him, but are living life w/o a S$6k computer.

If we really want to help him, I will buy him a one way ticket to the poorest part of Vietnam/Myanmar to see how regular pple live w/o a 6k computer.

what has Singapore society turn out to be...sigh...
