Back to Singapore.... what nightlife?
Worked late tonight, left office at 10.15pm...
Wanted to grab a bite, the whole darn surrounding neighbourhood place like a freaking Ghost Town.
Imagine.. at 10+pm only and it is DullsVille.
Where got life? Almost every place and everything closed.
We are just a drop dead boring city.
I don't agree with Singapore being 2nd best nightlife but I don't think sleeze is the main criteria...

I think what the " nightlife" in the report meant "nightlife" in the office. Just look at the number of people working OT late into the night in offices all over singapore.:bsmilie:

I do enjoy nightlife here even tho there are some wishes like cheap booze, a more tolerant smoking policy and a better and cheaper taxi services at night.
I like the fact that nightlife here is safer compared to most. I like the variety of restaurants and food that are within a 30min ride. Compared to other non-english countries which might be cooler but here I can really get by with just english. Clubs just went, or will be, international (good or bad is based on your interpretation - MOS, Hed Kandi, Cafe Del Mar.. and the locals like Zouk.. etc etc). And the easy way to be integrated among locals and foreigners which is difficult in other countries. I like the part where most clubs have 7/11 nearby for frontloading and 24h kopitiam to finish off the night (or start a new day).
It could be better but disregarding perfection, its not so bad. I guess it just depend on what nightlife means to each person.
