anyway, ishoot, you have an interesting blog, i've also wanted to do food photography for a long time, but couldn't really afford fine cuisine :(

You can certainly afford this!! $3.90 for a big plate of Pasta Al Freddo Al Funghi!! Check out my latest pics.

Again taken with the same setup: 60mm 2.8 Macro with 350D, natural lighting with fill in flash from a 380EX

Generally good concept, if i see someone shooting in hawker centre with a Canon lens, i drop by to say hello. ;p

nice web site!

as mentioned. do watch out for the WB, some food dont look appealing with the wrong WB.

i am a fan of ur blog and went to try some of the featured food. some times it hit the spot, sometimes it does not.

Problem with WB is every computer screen displays it different. I try my best to adjust so that it looks pleasing to me on my own computer.

I always try to custom WB when I can. But when you are shooting from stall to stall, the easiest way is still to leave it on AWB. Got a lot of hungry people pressing you to quickly take the pics you know what I mean?

Anyway, you are most welcomed to leave a comment on the blog if you feel that a particular set of pics look particularly off, then I will get around to fixing it. Appreciate it.

Just want to showcase my Pau pics which I really like.

Just to let you know the Wham!Burger is back in town after a 2 year hiatus!!

Wham!Burger is cooked by a lady who doubles up as a lounge Singer at night! More for the burger then the pics lah, but everybody's talking about it!

Your pictures of food always make me hungry so I guess the purpose is served. Dammit! I hate it when I saw the char siew pao and teh tarik posts on a rainy day, stuck in the cold office with half a glass of cold water.

Keep shooting and posting :)

By the way, how you keep your camera and lens clean from the oil and grime after so many food shots?

Yeah, I think I abuse my camera. Never put in dry cabinet since I am out with it almost everyday. Only thing I do is wipe the lens every now and then.

mouth-watering pictures! love them!

think the DOF is too shallow for these two pics, probably using f/8 would be better.

Thanks! Great advise

thanks for your reviews and nice photos of those eating places

eBlackBoard has a new chef and a new menu. Ribeye steaks now going for $12.90. Quite a good steak for that price!

Hi Leslie,

I've been following your blog for a while and the quality of the food reviews and the photography really impressed me. Good food photography should make a person want to eat what's in it and your pics makes me lao nuah(drools). Certainly good enough for menu/display, even better than what most run-of-the-mill stalls use.

Keep up the good work and constant updates. :)

Btw, your article about Hoe Nam prawn noodles make me a regular visitor of theirs. Very yummylicious!
