why dun we get the eurofighters?
Of cos, having like another 20 Apaches or like 10 Thunderbolts in place of commissioning another 3 or 4 Infantry Battalions would be good too.
1 Apache/Thunderbolt have an equivalent firepower of almost a full Infantry Battalion. Woot.
24 Eagles, 62 Falcons, 45 Tigers (at least according to Wikipedia).
I think what are really short of are dedicated Bombers, stealth recon & stealth bombers instead of Multi-role fighters.
Shld take out the Skyhawks completely and replace it with a dedicated Long Ranged Recon Stealth Bomber based overseas.

read in some air defense magazine (can't recall which one) recently... mentioned that the USAF is thinking of converting the A-10 to have air-to-air capabilities. wow... are they replacing the F-18??? :bsmilie:
good to know that the A-10 has been around for ages and it is still serving well in combat. it's one of the ugliest combat planes around but heck... it packs a punch like nobody else
No more, no less. 5 direct hits from the Avenger Cannon will wreck any Fighter Plane instantly. :bigeyes:read in some air defense magazine (can't recall which one) recently... mentioned that the USAF is thinking of converting the A-10 to have air-to-air capabilities. wow... are they replacing the F-18??? :bsmilie:

Dat reminds me.How about retrofit our C-130 to a AC-130 Spectre type aircraft. Should be good as we can maximize our limited asset?
