Singapore Camera Style

Just started this little project documenting analogue cameras in Singapore, and wanted to share this with the folks here. :)

Looking at all the great gear that has been showcased here, I am hoping to get some contributions from everyone and maybe do a little link to your portfolio/website, or even a short interview. The site is still very raw, and I'm open to suggestions to make it better for analogue camera lovers.

Please let me know what you think. ;)

very nice bro!!! Recognized a few T-shirts n gears in there. :-)

nice!

but wondering if it would be better without the use of flash for the pictures. listing it all would really make it nicer... just a suggestion but awesome work :)

awesome! i wonder if we will be seeing some of the crazier stuff we get on TCS

Is it an analogue camera site? Say so on the top but still see digital cameras featured.

Cheers,

Yup got digital. Its a fun project! from the looks of it! I think a personal project is what we alll should do =P

Actually, all the shots are taken without flash, except the ones submitted by readers. ;)

Hey Benny, thanks for stopping by. Actually you're right about the few digital cameras on the blog and to be honest I struggled with this for some time. As much as I wanted and preferred analogue cameras, sometimes I just don't see enough of that on the streets to generate regular content. I've included this small writeup in the submission page to reflect this:

"We would prefer film cameras. (There are of course some digital exceptions, such as digital rangefinders, medium format cameras with digital backs, or even a nicely personalised DSLR. I’m always open to new ideas and cameras with character!)"

I'm thinking one workaround would be to do a special series with YOU! I'm sure I would have enough content given your collection.

Bro, I'm kicking myself for not shooting your Norita 66 that day because of its rarity! Would definitely want to meet you again and do a small interview with you and talk about your favourite films.

And a big thank you for everyone else for the encouragement, the "following" on Tumblr and yes, the massive spike in visitor-ship within one day (400 hits!).

Meanwhile please continue to submit shots of your beloved gear~

thanks. cool stuff. i am sure many of us have more than 1 camera, how many of us bring it to play :)

Cool & Great job!

I am a fan of the Japanese Camera Style site, so well done to start one locally. I would agree with Azzurri to have all the photos listed rather than using flash.

Bro i think they meant not using flash player for the shots but instead show all the pics, my 2 cents. I would also prefer the non flash presentation of the camera pics.

Interesting project...seen the Japan style version....now is time for Singapore version...
Agreed...prefer still picture than flash...:)

My old dslr had heart stickers on it! =P

Very nice! Keep it up dude!

good job mate!

I also prefer simple jpgs over flash.. They are giving me a headache. But appreciate your effort!
