Haha well said! But by the looks of the crowd, it's like the crowd u see during NDP.
I think i take cab there n back haha.

Actually....Singapore is way way too crowded place for such a small island and the event location. You guys just paid $20 bucks and stressed yourself in the event, especially those with children. If i got free tickets, I would not go there. The crowd and disorganised were expected and this was not the first time in Singapore.

wow.. after hearing from posts like that, i feel that i'm very lucky..
I was at pasir ris at 922am, there was a long queue, but still not that bad.. Boarded the bus at about 945am
After i boarded the bus, i can see the queue is super long!! more than 4x from when i started queuing up.
Crowd there was horrible, Tried to shoot some pictures, but a lot of 'heads' around.
Just when u thought the coast is clear and u start holding your camera, someone with an umbrella will just pop up from no where.
Afraid of the crowd, I left right before the ending for the final aerobics. Managed to board the shuttle bus after about 10-15min wait.
But the traffic back to pasir ris was about. But managed to reach back at pasir ris after about 30-40min.
My friend who left about 10-15min after me, only managed to board the bus 1 hour after i boarded mine.
So, my thought is, every minute counts in terms of crowd. Have to be kiasu abit and be slightly earlier than the rest... hehe

It's OK....just be prepared for a VERY VERY long chat with uncle in the cab

I went there by van with bicycle loaded ard 11am. Lucky to find a parking lot at Changi village. After having lunch there, took a few pics near the bridge. Then cycle down towards CFT to take some pics. Everything go smoothly. Very crowded in every car parks closer to CFT. May be going 2morow again. I think should be able to take some shot along Changi beach from Changi village to CFT if you are well equipped. I only holds a 18-200 lens.

CFT is a bit far off from the flying display site and you'd need 300m and above.

Why don't you guys form groups of 3 or 4 and gather at a convenient place (such as Pasir Ris MRT, Tampines MRT, Simei MRT or Tanah Merah MRT) at an early time (such as 8am or even earlier) and share a cab there?
Since the show starts at 9.30am, the traffic between 8am-9am on Changi Coast Road should be quite ok.
Moreover, 9.30-10.30am is definitely a better time than 11-12noon to take photos of the static displays.

Did observe the amount of people at the Pasir Ris MRT early this morning going to the Airshow and so anticipating that the same amount of people going back.
Decided to leave early even before the Black Knights have finished off their performance.
Anyway there's much to shoot with the crowds all over the place.
On the way out was shocked to see there was still so much people coming in
for the show.
Luckily took me less than 15 minutes to queue and board the shuttle bus to PR's MRT station and another half hour to clear thru' the jam along the coastal road to Changi village
Was again surprised to see people still queuing at the PR's station to get to the Airshow.
40,000 x 2 days x $20 = $1.6 mil excluding car park revenue and those on trade-tickets
They're probably laughing their way to the bank while we suckers are still fuming:devil::devil:
BTW thanks to u guys for organising this outing for us.

To avoid the crowd, you have to go earlier than most other people and then leave much earlier or much later than most other people.
So in order to avoid waiting too long, you probably need to leave at about 1.30pm (just before the aerial display ends at 1.45pm) or hang around until well after 5.00pm. (may be 5.30pm or later outside).
