Then must go earlier to queue. If i'm really late in case i wake up late then it's taxi for me, though expensive.

Taxi maybe I going back too tired then I take....:bsmilie:

In view of the expected long queue at the expo, suggest all to be there earlier so that you will not miss the flight display - the first item is Black Knights which is quite interesting.

On Friday, the Black Knights did an extra 'stunt' to pay respect to a pilot who passed away few days back.

And, those who wants to buy souvenirs, there are lots of tie-pins, aircraft models and also airshow t-shirts etc, the stores are in the smaller hall just beside the A380 static display, where the Black Knights autograph session is held at 2.30pm daily.

Is there any suggested place to shoot the aerial performances outside the exhibition area, coz not interested in all those static displays as well as the crowd?.... maybe just shoot and leave ....

Hello here from Australia,

Could someone here who is attending the show, have a look in St Kinetics area and see if
there is any Metal Storms' technology/weapons on display, in amongst their exibition.
It would be greatly appreciated if someone could take a pic of Metal Storms' presentation and place it here.

Anyhow have a great day there, wish I could be with you all.

It looks fantastic, I congratulate those who have placed their pics here, they are sensational.

Keep up the good work..

All the best from Aussie Land

Those going tomorrow better go early around 8am plus to queue up or else
it will be very long queue..
Don't bother to go around 10am plus or you will miss the flying disply..

Today after the flying display, alot all went back and the crowd control very bad.. IMO..
Or they never think of so many will go back at one time..
Hopefully tomorrow they will have a better corwd control..

Thinking of bringing my daughter to go tomorrow but cancel the thought liao..
Luckliy today i go see how the crowd 1st and never bring her today..
Thos that brought their kids today.. pity themm.. especially those baby still got to carry in hadn or pram..

Canonised, u can park at Changi Ferry Terminal carpark, walk across the maingate but not enter, there is a fence gap towards what looks like a construction site. Walk along the Changi Ferry Terminal perimeter fence until you are in full view of Tekong island in front, on the right is the CAS. You will have unobstructed Prime view of the acrobatics from there. DO ensure not to aim your camera backwards towards the CFT. The Malaysian Immigration staff inside will not disturb you as long as you do this. Actually there is a No Photo signage there put up by the Johore Port Authority, for your info.

For those going for the Sunday show I would like to share my bad experience today at Pasir Ris MRT. The queue was exceptionally long and not systematic. Imagine the queue snaking almost all the way around White Sands and all the way around the MRT station. The previous airshow was exceptionally more organise as the interchange was used for embark/disembarkment. For this Airshow the bus stop opposite the MRT was used causing quite a traffic jam on the road. I ended up travelling back to the Expo Mrt stn and duly paid the $5. Quite a lot less crowded but waited for 25mins.

Again nearing the Airshow site before the new service road a massive jam occurs, mostly due to private car owners parking by the roadside and taxis. It took almost 30mins before I got down the bus. Private buses carrying students and what look like tour groups contributed to the jam too. I think the organisers should do like what the previous ones did, everybody uses only one mode of transport.

Then there is the admissions queue jam where everybody need to be screen by security. I think the organisers are so overwhelm that no staff verifies anybody's ticket. It's just go thru the metal detectors and in you go. In that case ppl who intend to buy tickets at the site just went in free I guess.

I shall remind, going back is a bigger human traffic jam becoz the same alley hundreds of people are coming in IS the alley hundreds of people are exiting. Those with children do be careful of this human crush, reminds me of the Marina Carnival back in 2005 after the fireworks display.

Anyway going again tommorrow with my kids this time.

By the way, u can walk in and touch the static display if u want.

Like what donchua said, if you reach Pasir Ris by 10am, most likely you'll miss the Black Knights and F18 display like me. I was queueing to enter when it started.:thumbsd:

Lucky for me, been shooting from CFT a few days back. So I don't feel like losing out.

Real nightmare, I totally agree with you. I've attended a few airshows here and overseas and this is far and away the worst I've experienced.

Getting there wasn't the problem......LEAVING was. Not enough room at the bus points to turn around, not enough room to load people, and the worst part was that they were filling the buses from some queues and not realizing there were other queues waiting for an hour in the sun. The worst part was that they catered all the buses for Pasir Ris and not enough for the other places - and you have to PAY for the other buses. Paid channel should have priority... unfortunately it was not the case. Very poor organization. People were getting very very upset in the queue.. very rare that the whole crowd will start shouting and voicing their objections.

There was one bright spot though: there was a senior police officer who was really trying his best to help with what limited resources he had and I take my hat off to him. Good job

Have lunch before you go, no hope of getting food on site. An apologetic organizer told me that the wait could be as long as half an hour to an hour..!! Or pack your own food. Heng I packed my own water as well. Be very careful if you are bringing small children with you.. adults will already find the wait bad enough as it is, what more the kids.

It was a mess at Pasir Ris bus interchange for the shuttle service.. so go early and be prepared.
heard an airshow shuttle bus marshall calling for backup as she said smrt loosing control of the situation.. :bsmilie::bsmilie:

Wow. That's very nice of them to remove all the barricades for people to actually go up and touch the planes.

i reached Pasir Ris interchange ard 9.30am, queued for an hour, then almost another hour of traffic jam, and another 30mins for security check, just in time (ard 12pm) to catch a spot to rest and prepare for my gear.

I left ard 5pm, very very messy. no queue at all, really people mountain people sea flooding to take buses.

Very bad experience. Very poor organization.

The organizer better apologize to the public. F1 organizer and Youth Olympic better take note.

Really bad going back home at 1600 hrs too, the bus to Pasir Ris was at the far end.

The Police Special operation command personnel tried their best for people with children to board the bus first.

Paid $20 for the ticket and was herded like sheep and refugee trying to flee a country.

The Singapore Airshow 2008 couldn't handle the crowds and was only setup as a trade show. :thumbsd:

Have not been at the airshow for the last 2 years .... this time I will pass it again .... how to be world class like this?

Wah, like that I consider myself lucky as I was on my way out near the end of the bridge when the last acrobatic trick was done.

Canonised, you'll enjoy it better at the mention site behind Changi Ferry Terminal..

Waaa..think like that go Expo better...

Read from Zaobao few days ago, 40k tickets sold for sat and sun and they were pushing for 50k. How much do they earn, huh?
