Bro this one can use a slightly higher exposure and/or more contrast.

Still good though!

Hi,
For 11 and 14, I feel that the transition between the sky and sea is abrupt, probably due to the diff in tone. would prefer a smoother transition. :)

I think it's because the horizon is too harsh. Thanks for your input!

Oh man, this is Brilliant! Love the clean impressively composed shots. M gonna subscribe to this thread 4 sure. Keep them coming, enjoyed the series and some of the "minimalistic" ones too! God Bless

Glad you liked them and thanks! They will come if I go out and shoot hehehe....

hahah yeah... I find that B&Ws are an 'acquired taste'.
Keep it up bro! Camping here for more :)

For #15, because the front rock (what is that, anyway?) is leaning to the right, a centred composition seems rather contradictory. What say you?

I'll try :)

If I'm not mistaken that thing is a safety barrier of sort. It's been there for quite a while if you can see. I may be wrong abt it being a safety barrier la.

I have this 'dead centre' because I wanted that hole in the centre to be visible, and also to include that small rock on top hehe. So I went for this orientation to cut off all empty spaces on the sides.
I have 2 more shots of these in different angles and composed similar to what you have mentioned. I'll post them soon ;)
Thanks bro for your thoughts.

Thanks bro..

Yah it should be more effective that way. I tried giving it a higher contrast but I got a very serious case of banding already as seen from my laptop. If it's bad on my laptop monitor, it will be worse if view with other laptops or desktops, as it's always the case.

That's why I went for the soft/muted feel.

Wo.. Bro Zul, Beautiful thread... like you say.. simple and also very need and tidy and I understand your process. Sometimes we cannot get rid of the banding and even the best minimalism photographer in the world also have this problem. I myself always try to get rid of this banding and is almost impossible. My favorite and I think he his one of the best in the world is David Fokos. They are amazing,so as lenscapist....;)

Hi Manita! thanks for dropping by :)
Yes I think so too. That's why I try my best not to overdo my processing now to prevent it as much as posible.
Yes his photos are truly amazing! Thanks for sharing it with me!
Hahaha..yeah as lencapists.. :)

#18.
Another amazing shot! The effect on the eye for this minimalism is really great. Congrats...:)

Not sure how to comment about this photo, bro, except to say that somehow I don't feel any connection with it.
Probably the first post is too far away to draw the attention in, and the alignment of all the posts leaves the right half empty. I suppose it was your intention to compose this way.
