If it's Alan Photo, it should be ok but some other shops may then tell you they have no stock when you get there and try to sell you something else...
My dad is a very good friend of CP's boss for over 40 years, and the entire sales staff knows this. They do not even dare to sell me expired film.
I've been to AP, CP and John 3:16. While John may not always be the place with the lowest price, I don't mind forking out the extra tens of $$$ for the great service and advice I've gotten. Also, I always end up having a good laugh with Sam and gang when I'm there!

i walked into john 3:16 wearing a torn t-shirt. a indian gentleman bochap me, the chineses young guy speaks or try to speak like ABC,. . . O well me lack of adjective to describe him.
Actually, I patronise TCW more than CP. I go there only if I need to get Kodak Ektachrome 64T.

AP is getting more n more like other Sim Lim shop too, stuck-up and chop, chop.:thumbsd:
For computer product, yes SLS is the BEST!

I thought only me found out that and they treated me bad only..but so far..must agree with some here comment about AP..I really regret after buying cam from them..But I am scared that we are damaging their reputation.

Why worry about their reputation ? As long as you're telling the truth based on your own experience, you are doing others a favour.
Personally, I wouldn't buy from AP SLS (AP Funan maybe). The few times I went there, they quoted me high prices.
It is called tourist price and regular price. For tourist who don't have bargain habit, they are happy selling higher price. For regular who was always bargain, they try to sell competitive price.
I agree, I prefer price like Harvey Norman (but even Harvey Norman we can bargain sometimes).

totally agree with that, had some bad experiences with AP(both SLS and Funan), they really getting to be more and more "money minded"? now, there are more sales personel then photographers there..... prices shoot high like nothing sia...unless you are a regular and you noe who to speak to.... else... just ignore them bah
you might be surprise, sometimes, funan can sell cheaper products, speaking from personal experiences, follow my fren to buy some cpu fan from sls, walk the whole 6 levels, cheapest is at 12 bucks, so we bought 2 sets. then i went funan to look at camera stuff, so casually take a look at the prices of the fan there...cannot remember the shops name, the range is selling from 8-10 bucks...same brand same product...(cooler master)...winner...
but then again, its not the best price for everything lah, so its up to individual to see whether you wan to go these places and compare the prices just to save the few bucks...
Thats true..but you'll need to always be updated with the price..otherwise, you'll go round and round surveying price...i sometimes do that too.. nope, not enjoying it..:bsmilie:

If you like to get your balls lick then CP is the best among all .
But don't get too close and personal with their salesmen because they suckzzzz ....
If you want to get good price AP will never fail you .
But what you need to do is to check the price around before buying from them and the best person to talk to is a mid 40 years old guy who has a sexy voice and he is quite skinny , just go up to him tell him what you want and just tell him in his face that he had to sell you 5 dollar cheaper than CP , he will be very happy to sell the item to you . However AP is most heaven for those with photography experience as we do not need any explaination from their sale staff but instead we get cheaper price.
MS is a place where we call friendly like the old Fotoguide.
Price is in between AP ant CP .
