Yes, I'm one of the 4 who bought the DP2Q from Parisilk.
Still thinking about how to do a review on it. ;)

great! please don't keep us in suspense for too long bro.:D.

hahaha I'm also looking forward to a review. But for now I can say that it's a lot bigger in real life than it looks like in photos.
Handling the last one in parisilk, I'd say that it is longer than most dslrs and has considerable weight.

I don't think that it is longer than most DSLRs unless you are referring to those tiny mirrorless types like Panasonic GM1 or Samsung NX Mini. Gripping it is slightly difference from the other cameras with frontal grips. With the DP2Q, I tend to use more the fleshy part of my palm below the thumb to grip than the fingers. But the shape of the camera sure is a head turner.

While waiting for the first part of my review to get out of quarantine, here's an image from the DP2Q to serve as a appetizer. ;)

thanks for the teaser, tomcat. very impressive details as expected. have you tried shooting at high ISOs at dimly lit places? or perhaps that would be part of your upcoming review. will eagerly watch for it,

may we know how much the camera is selling for now, locally? i suspect the stock will be limited, so the chance of getting my hands on one is not so good.

Last I asked Funan area $13xx

thanks for the info.

now all i have to do is to find justification for myself why i would need another camera haha.

might be getting a unit for test a few days...will post the result early next week

How many shots on a fully charged battery?
What's the size of the RAW file?

Probably 100+. Haven't exhausted the battery yet.
Each RAW file is between 50 - 55 MB in size. The RAW file from the DP2M is about the same in size or slightly larger but the image size is significantly smaller.

Here's the first high ISO shot I took with the DP2Q. It was taken under atrocious warm PL fluorescent lighting of the common corridor in the evening. The lighting created a horrible colour cast which would have given problems to even the best of cameras and I had carried out some colour correction to try to get rid of it in the final image.

Comparison at high ISO between the DP2Q and DP2M would be in the review. ;)

thanks for the pic tomcat, still impressive.

am just an amateur, but to me this is a remarkable improvement over the Merrills, where shooting at ISO1600 would have been unthinkable.

From what I see, Merrill still retain more details as compared to Quattro.

Quattro however had better low light performance... so ultimately it depends on which is more important.

Here are some quick and dirty shots/crops for comparison. Merrill still seems to edge Quattro on details$SDIM0001.jpg$SDIM0529.jpg$DP2Q 01.jpg$DP2M.jpg$DP2Q 02.jpg but once more light is let in, things get interesting.

Very interesting, am now thinking perhaps I should not have sold away my two Merrills...

Now waiting for reviews from MichaelLee and tomcat.
