Hopefully the IQ is as good as all other sigma primes. Will get 1 if the pictures from reviews turns out to be just as good

Cathay P quoted at 1138, able to use cc at 0%. But only available to Canon mount. Anyone got any ideas of other branch?

There will be Canon only for now. Nikon will be sometime in Dec....

There are some taiwan and hong kong users said the Sigma 35mm 1.4 is better compare to Canon 35L.
Solid build, Zeiss feel(because of the metal)
Sharpness, CA, Vignetting, Distortions are better @ sigma 35mm, the color is a bit different with 35L , but not warmer.
Some 35L users in hong kong and taiwan would think to sell 35L to get Sigma 35mm.
Some ex-35L users would think to buy Sigma 35mm.
These are all Canon fans, and some of them(quite a lot) would like to have a try on Sigma 35mm

Yup, Canon users are complaning why 35L version II still not yet out, 35L is about 14 years now, for sure that Sigma 35 outperform 35L.
Even the 35L II come out now, the price will be crazy, see the recently launched 35 F/2 IS

I agree, even if a 35/1.4L mkII would come out soon the new Sigma should be a good deal.
