Probably to do macros, in which case I think the 105mm one will be a lot more useful.

Ya, to do macro shooting. Actually I hav no intention to buy. Juz asking for fun. I think I will stick to Canon's EF 50mm f/1.8. Btw, 105mm macro lens sure cost more than $500? My budget only $100 if I want to get one.
