Great to know. BTW, howz the sony SEL50mm f1.8 lens? Seems d best lens from Sony E Mount range in terms of ability to resolve as much as possible d capability of the 24MP sensor?

Not sure if it is the best lens as I haven't tried the CZ 24mm ;p
Optically it is way much better then my 18-200 at 50mm, but I noticed that the AF is slower...

I used this lens to shoot my kid and printed 50", looks good. But sold it away as when shoot video, can see lines in the video, maybe not compatible to my nex 7.. Now using adaptor and sal35, it seems sharper to my eyes..

my 1st experience with this 30mm lasted only a couple of weeks i tink..
cause shortly after that i got the CZ24mm F1.8..
sold away the Sigma on impulse..

after reviewing my pictures i realized that the 30mm Sigma is really very capable..
took the following while on a trip to the zoo..

had to MF.. AF useless against this small spider..

this snake is forever in this position..

somehow it looks very fake..
cropped too much? kinda noisy too..

just to share how capable this lens is for the $250 that i paid..
no sharpening done..
just cropped the images..

Yes it is. Just tested in my office. Darn sharp when taking pics of RWS just opp my office.

Checked last week. 30mm no stocks in all the shops.

Tested the lens previously. Exterior is plastic but looks fine in quality. Lens opening really small compared some of the other lenses, but the IQ is unbelievably good.

Wonder if Sigma will produce something better with wider aperture, such as the 24mm F1.8 or 50mm F1.8 equivalent? With the same comparison that Sigma produces better lenses (30mm F2.8 and 19mm F2.8 is better than the standard kit and pancake lens), it will be great to have more Sigma lenses for Nex!

Maybe a super wide angle lens like 10mm - 16mm will be good too. Also a 35mm f1.8 or 50mm f1.4 if possible... Sigma definitely provides the best E Mount lens for NEX 7 at the moment and it's really value for money...

something with effective range 14-28mm or 16mm -35mm would be very much welcomed in Nex.

Was toying around with the sigma 30mm yesterday in a quiet place. Found the mechanics pretty noisy after I fired shots. Is it normal?
Also, auto focus is noisy. Guess not the best for video
