hishouken said:Called & emailed last week for both. No stock also. Cheapest is SLRR at $246 with gst but alas no stock. Parisilk preorder at $270.
dracoid4 said:Wow. That's fast. I got mine from SLRR just 2 weeks ago. Guess with the lack of variety of e-mount lenses, people just grab any new e-mount lens launched in the market.
That just shows...everybody is buying cameras now. lol.. true enough..
They are everywhere.
vengels said:Yup that's true. And also this lens is value for money.
Cheap and sharp.
dracoid4 said:Cheap in term of e-mount lens. Not exactly cheap compared to Sony easy choice lens for a mount eg SAL50f18 and SAL35F18. Well it is the best we have so far and it is good for me.
vengels said:If u buy a mount + the adapter then the cost will easily exceed the cost of the e mount.. it increases in size too..
Like u said.. its the best at the moment.. still very few native e mount lens..so no choice..
On a side note, Alan Photo Sim Lim still has the Sigma 19mm f2.8. Any comments why this was not considered?

Probably cos the general consensus is that 30 is a better walkabout lens with a more pleasing focal length.
Anyway, I've been tracking this lens for the past 3 weeks, Alan, Cathay, TK, SLR, Orient, MS Color, PariSilk, all no stocks and most have no indication when they'll be getting any. It's always "try next week".
Oh well.
Been checking out both the 19mm n 30mm , am looking around for a lense thats not too far off from the size of the 16mm and still get to keep af ,the 16mm that came with the dual lense kit just does not pack that much punch and dont wanna be using the bigger lenses all the time, size was actually the reason i chose the 5n to the k-01..For those who would use the 5n or 7 for videos as often as taking stills, came across a video sample of a 19mm on a nex 5n and the 30mm on a nex 7..
From both video clips ,both seem to suffer badly from jittery videos while in af mode, manual focusing would solve the problem but then again hmmmm... I think its worth a watch if AF during videos would be part of your consideration..
while the image quality is a notch above the 16mm pancake lense in terms of sharpness and colour, i guess i have to give both a pass and wait for a new pancake by sony =(
Cathay, MS all no stock....
