Just picked up this lens and it is wonderfully sharp. Precise manual focus in magnified mode with peaking is also extremely easy. The contrast of this lens makes manual peaking focus a snap. On manual focus, I would say that its about as good as my Zeiss Biogon 35mm. Autofocus, when I need is OK fast, but continuos autofocus seems to pulse differently than with Sony lens. Does get a reasonably sharp shot though. I coudn't get DMF to work.

Correction. I got DMF to work....

Here's an example of corner sharpness wide open at F2.8, which is not bad. Bokeh is a bit nervous, but OK as well.

SLRR @ funan, Cathay and Ms color. Just got mine on Fri. Heard that sigma is increasing the price for it! It is a good lens. No regret selling off the SEL50F18 for this.

Finally Sigma is back, our beloved old Sigma, giving us cheap and good optics as alternatives.

I am going to try both 19mm and 30mm tmr, hopefully i dun come back home buying both.

Just gotten a piece of 30mm. Very sharp even at f2.8, much better than sony 16mm by a huge margin. Even corners are plenty sharp.

Great price, great optics. Nothing much to ask for.

Now sigma, please give us a 20mm f1.4 and we are almost done for nex.
