I've tried the first chart before, seemed okay at the shop so i made the purchase. But when taking shots of other stuff, like objects, the problem arises.
The 2nd link is new to me! though it seems to utilise the same principle.. Haha thanks alot man! Appreciate it! ;D
No prob, get the lens fixed if it's still off focus. U will enjoy it. It's an amazing lens given it's price

any one of you have any idea will taipei be selling this lens cheaper than sgp? I did a price check with OP and AP today and was quoted ard 730-780.

Heard that DDE is selling this for $510, or close to that. Not local set, with shop warranty. Might be worth a look. Don't know about Taipei price though. Sorry...

Personally, I'm also eyeing this lens. Now just deciding between local set and grey.

how come there's such a big difference in the price between the shops?

if it's a grey set, means if the lens is faulty, it wont be under local warranty is it?

Your question has been asked numerous times, try to read the previous pages

I'm interested in getting this lens, 2nd hand, but prefer one which hasn't been calibrated (so I can calibrate myself if necessary). Is there a way to properly check (other than asking the seller, of course), whether a lens has not been calibrated?

Thanks.

Yes, you can call up Sigma service centre with the serial number of the lens to enquire.

If i'm not wrong, 1 lens can be calibrated twice within the warranty duration. That's as far as i know when i brought the lens to calibrate about a year ago.

Whether they have new rules, it's best to call up their service centre to enquire.
