i wonder if i can send this to the service centre to calibrate as it is a grey set.

yeah, somebody in this thread mentioned before that you could send it in to Sigma Singapore for free calibration, even though it is grey set. but you would need to call ahead to make an appointment.

after convert to sin dollars its still less than 600
but of cos its grey sets you will be expecting

my friend checked in HK and the price is HK$3400 - which is slightly above S$600

Oh, this is my only Sigma and it's a keeper!
You can bring the lens to the Sigma centre (at Redhill Forum) for a tune-up, if it even needs one.
Bring along some shots, esp at your camera's infinity setting. Bring both the camera body and lens, then try going there when it's not swarm with people. You may get to meet the technician, who may also show you the focus test he does behind the counter! I had the good fortune to witness the pin-point focus and I left reassured.![]()

grey sets is only warranty by the shop itself
so if you want to get one there, its better you test it out on the spot and make sure theres no front back focusing problem, as this is quite a common issue.
