F1.4

Hi All, Just got mine a few days ago. However, I am having problem getting a sharp photo with my D300 for any aperture below f/4 when view at 100%. It is especially bad at f/1.4. Tried and test the focusing. It is OK. Anyone know the reason why? I will try to post some photo later... Thanks.
IMHO, this lens shines even at the widest aperture.
Here are the examples at f/1.4

u've got a lemon.
ideally u shud get it to change at the shop or send to Sigma for servicing.
not surprising to get a lemon, it's Sigma afterall.
Hi All, Just got back from Sigma Service Centre. My Sigma 30mm F/1.4 had a bad front focusing problem... After an hour of calibration, they managed to fixed my problem. I will try to post some pictures later!![]()

This is gonna be a real quick crash-course replyHi All
Just got my my 30/1.4 today..... Can't wait to try it out......
DSLR Newbie here. Question... What determines how wide to open the aperture when using AV priority? Understand that 1.4 gives the best bokeh....
Thanks
hohoho just got my copy yesterday! very satisfied with it so far... =P here're a few shots taken wide open @ 1.4
