Sony 35mm f1.4 = US$1,300++ (Ebay price)

The 35mm f2 is smaller and lighter, and can be used on full frame.

But get the 30mm f1.4 instead anyway. The pictures will blow you away.

I had the 35mm f2. Was pretty unimpressed by that lens and sold it off.

I now use the Sigma 30mm f1.4. Awesome lens. Here's an example:

Woah, subject seperation is amazing. They just seem to 'pop-out' of the background. Was that shot wide open? The samples we see here seem to be contradictory to the reviews I've seen. :think:

brand new 35f2 is $430 like that?
brand new 30f1.4 is around $730 to $750 iirc.

The good (or bad) thing about this lens is it has no direct comparison in the Nikon/Canon lens range. Hence making price comparisons are a little complicated. You may have to consider either the 28mm prime or the 35mm prime.

Thanks folks......I've already have 28mmf2.8 Nikkor and looking for a faster lens then sell the 28mm to fund part of the sale. somehow i find the 28mm f2.8 is not sharp enough or i **** eye:embrass:
