17-50/f2.8-3.5 SSM please. Come to papa!

Waiting for the 11-18mm actually.... ;p

But actually a 11-40mm would be pretty cool as well... only 3x zoom... 35mm equivalent would be 17.5-60mm... nice range... f/2.8 and SSM would be a bonus imo...

count me out for this possible "sick ma" mo. ;)

:bsmilie: that's why you sold 70-200 off?
I sold it because..... i don't have any schedules for wedding shoot this year....as i will be doing more landscapes stuff.....

Its a great lens that i sold off....like new....

Internal elements new......lens circuit PCA is new....etc....
SOld it off to a Dynax 7 user.....so he's gonna inherit the great lens.....
i got the 100mm 2.8 for travel use.....bcos its very short....juz nice...

Sigma lens is great....for the EX versions....

If u sell cos u not doing wedding shoots... then later when u need, u buy again?! Pengz... :faint:

BTW, how do u use the 70-200 for wedding shoot? Portrait or what? Rather huge lens to carry around...

70-200 is a must to bring for wedding assignment. my last church wedding assignment, I was fighting for foot space with the videographer. usually videographer behind and use tele-zoom while we as photographers using standard zoom. But in my case in the opposite. but surprising, AS turn out quite ok despite I was shooting below 1/focal length. Sharp. Me concentrate on the facial expression of bride/bridegrom and father of bride. Love it. ;)

Haha.....

Like forbytes say.....70-200.......is (my personal feel) a wedding photog SOP.
Well......to answer your question....yes if i have to get another 70-200 in real need for event"s"......i will get one....keeping lens for a yr without real use (for paid events or shoots) to me is like a waste. Not only its bad for the lens & camera...but for the pocket too...!!!

BTW...the Sigma 70-200 with the lens tripod collar removed is very light....
Same goes to the 70-200 SSM......i tried the one with colar removed....its light.....looks like a skinny apek.....without the tripod collar...hahah!!!

I should try remove mine hor... but my collar so skinny, won't add much to the weight lar... that thing weighs a ton and for macro isn't good lar.... my shots not very sharp due to shake...

Seems like no one else interested?
Desmond, if you're still interested, I'll call up TK Foto and place order?

I got this sigma 18-50mm lens a while ago in a store in mong kok. it cost me HK$2500, not sure how much is the conversion. Although it is 2nd hand, the store showed me the original receipt and it was just bought one month ago... good buy in my honest opinion
