Well......to answer your question....yes if i have to get another 70-200 in real need for event"s"......i will get one....keeping lens for a yr without real use (for paid events or shoots) to me is like a waste. Not only its bad for the lens & camera...but for the pocket too...!!!
BTW...the Sigma 70-200 with the lens tripod collar removed is very light....
Same goes to the 70-200 SSM......i tried the one with colar removed....its light.....looks like a skinny apek.....without the tripod collar...hahah!!!
