Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 EX DC

What a lens - nice range, fast and cheap (for the speed).
The review looks goods.

Though DC, Sigma website says it's compatible with 7D.
Does any 7D owners have it. Mind sharing your experience.

How much it sells in Sg.

Was planning ahead for when the 5D comes out (!) and asked for a price at Cathay Photo this weekend. They quoted me $860 for the Sigma 18-50 f2.8 and $750 for the KM 17-35 f2.8-4. But have to order the Sigma.
I too wish KM would give us a wider, large aperture zoom for digital, like a 16-60 f2.8-4. I miss the focal lengths of the lovely 24-105 f3.5-4.5 on film, which has no equivalent in digital (closest is the Nikon 18-70 f3.5-4.5).

I have a feeling 16-xx/2.8 is on the way.. be it Sigma, Tamron or Minolta.

I have come/cough out with the budget for a new 17-50+ zoom lens. KM, please release something that fit in the range. Best still with SSM (17-50/f2.8 SSM please) ok lar, no have SSM is also fine. :devil:

Best if all lenses are SSM, but cost might be a concern especially for kit lens
