I dont tink i will go into such details like using lappy to check shutter count..
Anyways thanks for ur guide...rili deciding btw buying a brand new or used....although the price difference is abt 150bux

Oh shutter count is for bodies only btw. The effect of shutter actuations on lenses are negligible.

any last price update of this lens ?

Yes, confirmed its a function of the number of blades - in this case 6.

If you like more arrows in your starburst, the F3.5 model has 7. That's also a nice lens, but the filter size is 82mm, so be prepared to pay. When I tested it, it was like very bright in comparison to the F4-5.6, only thing is at F5.6, the smaller lens was subjectively a little sharper. Most of the time you're shooting at smaller apertures anyway, so its not going to make a significant difference.

What do you mean by "very bright"? As in the OVF or the EV?

I am finally selling mine. Check out the selling section (Nikon).

Anyone using 18-200? Can this consider as a zoom wide angle len?

Hi Guys, I am on the hunt for filters for this lens (ND, CPL). Some of the reviews I read mentions something about vignetting. Any recommendations? Also, has anybody tried the Tian ya filters? I would of course like to support 10mm focal length.

Hi, I have lost the lens hood for the lens, anyone know where i can get a replacement hood? Thanks

Hi Guys, I am on the hunt for filters for this lens (ND, CPL). Some of the reviews I read mentions something about vignetting. Any recommendations? Also, has anybody tried the Tian ya filters? I would of course like to support 10mm focal length.

For Tian Ya filter, depends on your crop factor. I do not see any vignetting on my Canon (x1.6), not sure about Nikon/Sony/Pentax (x1.5). Also, if you are getting it, get the holder for Wide angle, this holder only holds 1 filter. The standard one holds 3 filter, but confirm + chop will vignette on 10mm.

Additional note, for Canon Crop, if you are going to stack CPL (Slim Profile) + the Tian Ya filters (Wide Angle Holder), It will vignette from 10-11. Vignetting is gone at 12mm. If you are really keen on stacking filters on UWA, I would advice going the next bigger size, the 100mm square filters.

Hi does this lens work well with canon 550d?

For those who wish to use CPL, beware that due to the extreme wide angle view there will be uneven polarization. Do your research before you commit, 77mm CPL ain't cheap. Most use graduated ND.

Wanna join you here guys. This is really a very nice lens for landscape.
