Sightings of the new NEX 7

Many reported the 24mm zeiss e mount to be sharp but not very sharp. I have seen lots of good shots. The lens is sharp in the center but not across the frame at f1.8. It is sharp across the frame at abt f4 and above.

just as of late evening today, CP said that there is no news of the incoming stock. it was originally suppose to be in Nov 2011 but delayed a couple of times.

i don't think i've seen many lenses that are even sharp all over the frame at the widest aperture

终于来了！Sony NEX-7 台湾正式上市

Seems like Taiwan just got the NEX-7.

Sony building at ginza tokyo have couple of nex7 for visitors to hands on.
The kit 1855 is in black finish like the 24z 1.8

The Sony Center in Berlin too. I played with it last week.

Singapore is small and expensive. Gadgets always launch in east asia countries first, SG always last .... Wing Shing Photos in HK told me they are expecting stocks for nex7 in February, we should expect launch here in March perhaps.

By then , Fuji X pro 1 is launching too lol

Released in Taiwan, camera street...Limited stocks thou. Also released are SEL50F18 and Tamron 18-200 for NEX.

HK should be releasing theirs just in time for CNY.
Pre-order will start 12jan.
Body only or Body with Zeiss.

Hopefully, Sony SG will release it before CNY too.

Its slightly cheaper than A77, come Singapore dunno what the prices will be.

Theres a 3D modelling of the Nex7 here : α NEX-7 - Sony Store, Online (香港)

Cant touch , but at least will get good idea of how the camera looks like when mounted with adapters and the various Nex lens.

Would be interesting to see how it performs on 3rd party lens esp the resolving power at such hi-res sensor.

This would be a great lightweight alternative for existing dslr owners.
