shutter release plug has problem

recently realise a problem with my Dynax 505si, it cant work with my shutter release RC-1000. It just doesnt respond to it no matter how i press it.

shouldn't be the RC-1000 problem, coz i have A1 also. the cable release works happily with my A1.

anyone has such problem before? and roughly how much is needed to repair it?

erm, never use cable release on the film camera before. i bought i second hand two months back.
first time trying it and realise it doesnt work with my cable release.

have tried to clean the pins on the camera, but it still not working... lolx...

U might want to check your 505si manual to see if this cable model works with it or not.

There is only one connection type on Minolta AF cameras; if the camera has got it, it's compatible.

Try shortening out the contacts with a screwdriver and see if the camera fires. One (I think the top) is common ground, one is AF (middle?) one is shutter release. It doesn't matter if you short out all, then the camera will fire. With 99% certainty, the cable itself is broken.
