Love the mood. Wish I had your eye for light and detail. Did you go La Merce too?

Since you went dark, I'll go light...

EM5 7-14 at 9mm...a lot of times wished I had more than 14mm and looking back I used more FL 9+ and wished I could add an ND...

Very gothic feel! A little lifting on the shadows would be really nice I think. Is there a reason to use @ 10mm instead of wider? A pity sagrada's exterior is under reno.

Pray, EM5+75/1.8. ISO200, 1/3200s. F1.8.

Hmm true, it's a bit too dark, I can't see the desk on the left next to the cross...which is strange since I can see the desk handles on the original file on my comp. But, you're right, it can do with a bit of brightening up. Thanks for the comment .

I'm not much of a prime user...I tend to stand at a spot which I think has a nice frame, then adjust the framing by zooming in and out..
I've cropped the sides here because I've a tendency to shoot crooked so, rotated frame to straighten it, but still wanted the arc on top..Other than that, just adjusted contrast a bit, and darkened shadows (a bit too much ;))

I also think it's because I used to use the 17-40 ff a lot. Need to try and see the 14mm ff perspective...

EM5 7-14 @7mm f7.1 ISO200 1/100s straight from camera, really not many 7mm FL shots yet, need to learn
Cliche, stairs at Tibidabo (really cool place for kids, and adults)

or more like, still under construction. they've been at it for decades :bsmilie:

many thanks. that's very flattering.
as for La Merce, unfortunately i keep missing it. a couple of years ago i missed it by just a week. same with Carnevale a year before.

just recently got the 9-18 and wish i had it when i took the shot of the crosses. it was on a hilltop and i nearly fell off the ledge backing up to get the crosses and the city lights in-frame. in the end, i had to point the lens up and sacrifice a good chunk of the city lights :dunno:

Since you went dark, I'll go light...

now that you mention it, i do seem to lean towards the dark side, lol!

some more dark shots:

Was thinking more of lifting only shadows instead brightening up whole picture, not sure if we are referring same. lifting the shadows will brighten just the dark areas, and sometimes noise will become more apparent though details can be recovered, in this case, the noise can help ( i think) accentuate the dramatic-ness of the shot?

14mm does need getting used too, thanks for sharing:)

Btw, your last shot is excellent !!!

Haha, marilyn wannabe? The limit is 5 pictures which includes icons (you had 3 pic+2 icons) , hence the 4th pic was rejected.

Thanks very much! :D Sagrada is very different than other cathedrals.

Wonglp,
how this one? I've lifted the shadows, toned down the noise a bit.

My favorite subjects while in Hong Kong. Electric Trams and old school shophouse wet markets.

E-M5 w/12-35mm - X ISO 800

E-M5 + 60mm f/2.8 macro, just picked up this lens and went to take some chinese opera shots at esplanade, this is an extremely sharp lens even wide open, and it is capable of resolving amazing amount of details.
