Soo cute !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for compliment bro..I was testing out em5 with studio flash. DSLR still work better in studio though.

First time experience such a bad Chromatic Aberrations with Pan 25mm f1.4. Seem like my Aperture was not able to correct it.

woah, pretty bad, a change in angle of shooting sometimes may help a bit.

What was the aperture, shutter speed and ISO ? Any other setting to note?

From my experience with even the good expensive lenses, shooting against the bright background at the wides aperture will result in some form of CA

F1.6, 1/800s. its inherent for PL25 on OMD as CA is not corrected on Oly bodies. only distortion is. Changing an angle, stopping down should help too?

Did a review on this lens with OMD few weeks back, can take a look as well if keen.

Thanks for the heads up on this lens. This is one of the short listed must have lens for me since I got my OMD.
What do you think of the Olympus m.zuiko 40-150 ED lens? I intend to get this lens as one of my long tele, adding to my small collection of 12-50 kit & 45/f1.8. The other 2 lens i target are 12/f2 and this 25/f1.4 summilux.

Nice review there. Looking at the hainanese curry rice makes me hungry now :)

Thanks wong for checking, it's F1.6, 1/800s, ISO 640. I was partially testing the extreme to see how back CA could get and there it go.
Nedy77, I do not face such problem with DSLR, at least for the lens I own. Having said that it is not easy to shoot from certain angle with DSLR.

I guess I have to be careful with setting choose with the lens, I have step down with same angle and it definitely look much better, angle too as long as don't face the bright sky.

Wong great review you have there.

With flexibility of the OMD tilt screen, i do not need to stand on a stool to aim down.

Thanks, hope it helps to decide on PL25. mzd 40-150 is a capable tele-zoom for sure. reasonably sharp wide open & light enough, only thing is I find the zooming is kinda stiff, i've had 2 copies and both are stiff. Certainly useful to be in arsenal, landscape, birding, traveling, excellent for portraits for more shallow depth of field than with kit if space allows that it :) & with OMD high iso, it will help when using this lens on low light. Though I can hardly see it very useful for night shots, unless on tripod, could be wrong though as I don't have it anymore since EP3, i'm more primes shooter now, the only zoom is 7-14 & 100-300 at the moment.

Thanks for confirming stepping down and change of angles, I seldom get CA with other lenses except this and voigtlander 25/0.95. Review is more user oriented and lens was only loaned for a short period, not worthy of great certainly, thanks for kind words:)

Yep PL 25mm f1.4 when shoot wide open shows really bad CA/PF specially on high contrast areas... when shooting out doors i think best setting would be around f1.8 or f2. this will dramtically lessen the CA/PF based on my experience. Dont worry even at f2.0 the bokeh still smooth and nice :-)

If I am not wrong, I think CA can easily be corrected with the given software by Olympus (not sure, never do it before though).

Can see the diffraction sets in around the edge even at f11 ....

... and i realize posting pictures at 1024x768 from flickr display poor image resolution on CS pages. setting it down to 800x600 or increase to 2048x1024 display the image more correctly. Just an observation.

how's the distortion of 12-50 bro? at both extreme ends?

tried LR 3 and LR 4 it can be corrected in some areas but the sample photo above not sure it looks very bad.... I have this lens and when I shoot at similar situation I step it down at f2
