Just to share my latest addition. Did not really get many good results from this lens with EP3, because I find it difficult to manual focus using the LCD on bright sunny day. I am not sure if the EVF will help?

Here are a few samples I took using this lens on the EP3.

Olympus OMD 12-50mm

Ran some test HDR shots this weekend. Overall, significantly less ghosting from hand held shots based on my previous Canon 450d. The balance feature in the viewfinders really improves the ability to take hand held straight bracketed shots.

Hand held single shot HDR

Hand held 5x HDR, some weird pixelation going on in the bottom, think its due to no tripod?

Nice I'll be re-aquiring a Samyang 8mm FE Alpha Mount and was planning to use it also on my EPL2. I onced used this lens before but someone offered me a deal i cant resist and swap my this lens I since regret that move finally will be able to get this lens again :-)

Amazing 5x handheld shots with the EM5.

Actually the m43 version is much smaller and lighter.
Here's a shot of it on Pen body. Unless you have EOS body then it makes more sense to get 8mm i think.

MF is very easy, just put to infinity at F5.6, from about 0.6m, everything will be sharp (hyperfocal). So use it as point and shoot:)

Yep I normally set the lens to 1m or 0.7m and its good for indoor for landscape just max it to infinity the dept of field is so deep its easy to focus actually

I really miss this lens even my kid love using this lens that's why I'm getting a new one and shop just called me my lens Jason arrived will collect and test it on my epl2 but I'm getting the Sony mount 8mm so I could use it also to my m4/3

Update:

I've collected my Samyang 8mm f3.5 but I realized my Alpha mount to m4/3 adaptor is the one with aperture control and so I cant use it on my Samyang due to the pin may hit the lens mount :-( will need to get another adaptor the one without the aperture control. :-( cant test it on my EPL2.

Sad I cant use my Samyang on my EPL2, but I have another Canon FL lens. I was searching Canon FL lens but there's seem to be few folks who knows this gem... looking at FD Canon lenses the price is crazy FL is pre FD Canon but its as sharp and the FD lenses also some say that FL lenses are slightly better. Anyways gotten this Canon FL 85mm f1.8 prime and today saw some Class 95 Dj at Raffles during lunch and took some snaps.

Shot taken using EPL2 + Canon FL 85mm f1.8 PP done was use LR to convert RAW to JPEG correct some WB crop a bit.

Ya, I know about the fisheye for m4/3 is smaller and lighter, but I would like to use it with my nikon D7000 as well, therefore decided to buy the nikon mount version.

I still need to learn the focusing thingy, it did not work for me, cos I am so use to the focusing dot on the D7000, that I keep turn round and round to find the sweet spot on the EP3. I need to learn to let go and trust the instinct. Bad news is, I just got the VF2, and I will start to look through the viewfinder and start finding the focus again... haha.... bottom-line, just have fun....

It's nice that I could try shooting street candid I am trying to learn it for a while but always been afraid to do it and scared of ppl might scold me. Using EPL2 is small enough that most folks thought I was playing around with my cam they hardly take notice of me. And this Canon 85mm f1.8 focal length is just nice on 4/3 sensor.... I manage to take few of uncle's pix without him noticing it long enough for me to manual focus and shoot :-)

Pix taken wide open

Hi,
I brought my new EM-5 out yesterday for a test shoot at Jurong Bird Park, with Pansonic 100-300mm.
All were taken handheld and wide open.
I must say, the EM-5 was a breeze to carry and shoot with Panasonic 100-300mm without carrying "snail-style" bag. The overall performance of the camera and lens were superb GOOOD-OMD!!!

Still trying out the Samyang 8mm fisheye (Nikon mount) on the EP3 using an adaptor.
Still did not do very well with the focusing, a lot of guessing work. Even with the EVF, it doesn't help at all.

Here are the some not so perfect shots to share with everyone, although the focus is not perfect, I do like the effect from the fisheye for landscape shots.
