to be honest , my 5D jpeg is alot better than OM-D but i love using the OM D. Its a compact camera on steroids.

I like to be honest , the image quality not as good as my M8 and my 5D in terms of micro contrast, details and lens..

I somehow also tend to agree with you. Have seen a lot of pics by OMD and it just seems to be lacking in something as compared to FF cameras.
Of course they are different class cameras so not fair to compare. I am not saying the OMD is bad, I am also planning to get one. So just doing some research...

Like how? More bokeh? You should post some photos to compare lar. Or maybe a blinded comparison is best. Decide which is which. Haha!

Having problems with my flickr account nw . I shoot abt 1 k of pics now , will post when my account is fixed.

What I find about olympus is , alot of work is done in the digital body itself in terms of correction and distortion...

I am a old school sound guy , I always tells my friends ... If the sound source is beautiful , any microphone used will sound beautiful ...

Somehow Nikon , Canon still better . Their lens works great on film and works great on the digital without much correction from the body.

Thats my point of view. Hope did not offend any Olympus Bro's here.

My old zukio OM and Pen f lens still works great on film becos Olympus once believed in making the best lens without any short cuts.

Erm, isn't it weird to compare FF and m43? Going for m43 you ought to expect difference in IQ.

Gotta agree on the film lenses are pretty awesome, a lover of OM, Pen F lenses myself. in today's context though, due to advancement, some of the "intended" flaws in design can be corrected in camera so as to make lenses smaller. no right or wrong, though i think it certainly helps to persuade some buyers just because the lenses are lighter/smaller, and the end result is still beautiful which is what most matters to most in this group. My 2 cts

So far, I'm happy with the Ep3. Except the ISO performance. I usually go out at night and to indoor area. So, high ISO and image stabiliser must be good for me.

But I still want a FF for its DOF. Hopefully a FF Compact camera will surface in few years time, if not have to make my dogs pregnant and sell the puppies to fund the purchase. :bsmilie:

Ha... I'm quite the opposite. I'm going from the FF way to m4/3. Been using FF digital cams for some time, even during the film days (well they don't call them FF then).

I wonder why I've ignored m4/3 all this while! But of course, every category of camera has its own uses.

Manage to create a temp account to post pics, this time shoot all in jpeg but with contrast boost and sharpening full.

OM-D makes a great street camera. Shutter lag very very low.

It's compact but the price is on the premium side. Hoping someone will make one FF compact camera Cheaper than Leica. Auto focus still make life easier, tho I don't mind manual focusing.

i been dreaming for this idea for years and thats the reason I still have all the old zukio lens...

sick of the 12 to 50mm alr., just ordered m mount , pen f and om adapters for some nice bokeh balls ..
