[ Showcase ] - Images from Olympus Micro 4/3 cameras

Sure, I will add it. I was hoping it's enough if all the EXIF data is visible at the flickr link? At least for me that's more useful anyway because there I also can see the photo in high resolution.

Not everyone is savvy enough to use embedded EXIF data. It is nice that you have added that. But for the sake of "quick view", it is best to write that in for this thread only.

I am sure on the gallery sections it is not required. Thanks for your understanding. (And everyone else)...

Grrr... reminder again...
People, this is not a gallery, ...... share the shooting information and not post images and turn this into a gallery ok?

Pretty please... ?

Not that I disagree with you - but the title of the thread has the word "Gallery" in it...

I love the moth shot. The lighting is perfect and dramatic. Love this!

Very sharp wide-opened and focuses as quickly on the E-M1 as it does on the E3.

I would love to see you shoot your cats with the 75mm f1.8 wide... it would be a model show!

You are one of the few people who actually brings out the eye details of the cats to such an extent that I actually went to read about them. Quite fascinating.

Excellent ... can I know, when you take this pic, where you tap the focus on ? On the cat's eyes ?

Thanks

Thanks. I always try to focus on the eyes of the cat. Same as in shooting human portraiture. ;)

Thanks. Will be doing that soon. That lens and the mZD 60mm f/2.8 Macro are great portraiture lenses for people as well as for cats. ;)

That's very true. But using a macro for portraiture really teaches patience.

Another m43 lens that's very sharp wide-opened and at f/1.8 too. Could be the sharpest lens in Olympus' arsenal of m43 lenses.
Only problem is the extremely narrow DOF at f/1.8 which may not be very suitable for pet photography as it is difficult to get both the nose and eyes sharp at the same time especially in head-on shots. With the E-M1, it seems that it is not possible to set the aperture larger than f/2.8 if the camera is set to AUTO ISO mode. So to get down to aperture of f/1.8, I had to fix the ISO manually.

This was taken at the dreaded shutter speed of 1/160s... chaim ha ! tio shutter shock liao... if my E-M1 suffers from shutter shock that is.

I am shocked at how good your cats look... The details and they are so... wow. Love this set.

You should make a coffee table book of your cats. Or print a compilation of their pics. I love the black and white fella in the second pic. He looks so grumpy. ha ha ha...
