[ Showcase ] - Images from Olympus Micro 4/3 cameras

Keep us updated on which lens is suitable for IR, I am sure there are others in the community that will be interested to try their hand at IR Photography.

Pleasure, will do as soon as I have more info :)

can share how much and where u get the IR filter?

Found 2 out there, B+W is above $100, got the cheaper Kenko one from SLR about $70, but I would suggest reading up a bit on IR before buying, as there are more than 1 way to do it, and pp can be quite involving whichever way you choose, so I guess this genre is probably not for everyone. Compare the 2 images below you will know what i mean,

Have not been using my OM-D for a while. Took it to the Gardens By The Bay today. Here are some of the photos taken.

E-M5 + 12-50mm

It's way before sunset when intense light brightened up those tall waving grasses by the pond, but it looks as though I had taken the shot in the middle of the night! IR is interesting :)

Playing with a lens that I had bought and sold couple of times. Cheap and fun. Cmount CCTV 25/1.4. Similar optics as the SLR magic 26/1.4, except this is the original fun lens, and cheaper of course. Flares badly, CA badly, distort badly, pretty much none of this trait you would want in a typical lens. But the fun is the actually the distortion which gives swirly bokeh! Some may not like it at all. Fun for me, YMMV..

All shot with EPL5 wide open.

Flares!

Pretty sharp near centre

Swirls!

I think its great when you can get above looking at specs and just have FUN...Nice images...:)

Thanks bro, glad you like it, some people gets dizzy spells :bsmilie:Got a couple of PM asking what this lens is. It's not Pentax brand. It's a Chinese brand called Fujia. Easily available on ebay.

Here's how it looks like on EPL5. The default adapter is black, the adapter I had is one made by metabones, I don't think it's available anymore.

It actually comes with 2 small extension tubes for macro. Here's one lame try on macro with just one extension tube.

A one without, as usual the swirl is wicked!

I like it...does the f stop move or is set at 1.4 no matter what...I have a set of Pentax 110 lenses that are set at 2.8 only....but your lens looks cooler on the body...and makes more interesting bokeh he he..:bsmilie:

E-M5 + 9-18mm. It's been so hot during the past few days, didn't expect heavy rain today, got trapped in pagoda, wind gushing through windows, picked up my camera and took this cool rainy scene.

the rain made it seem like you've added a massive white vignette :bsmilie:

Can stop down, the flower shot was stopped down to achieve bit more dof. There are F-stop & distance markings which I'm not sure how to use it, can only estimate. I suppose it's meant to use on CCTV. It's a tricky lens, at the edges the distortion causes the blur hence if you take a group shot, only those in centre are sharp, the rest are blur (see the pigeons's legs).
