Yes. It's more suitable for those D-rings found on the k7 or old SLRs.

Do the metal attachment scratch the body? The original straps was simply canvas but these metal ones are not too friendly. I was looking at many third party straps and many use rings.

In the mid 70s, a plate of wonton noodles can be had for 50 cents. These days its $3-$4. So I would say for 1960s price, escalate 8-10 times

Yes yes, the white is similar to storm trooper! haha. I brought it out yesterday after I bought, I bet alot of people looking at my toy camera. heeee
