my tessar's resolution is not really good compared to SMC, perhaps because mine is pre war version, the later versions should be good. tessars're supposed to be sharp and contrasty. cmiiw.

and for revuenon, I really love it. it's sharp enough wide open, and the bokeh looks magical. have been falling in love with this lens since I saw it on pinholecam's thread :bsmilie:

Yar, can't resist the temptation when see the porst was sold at ebay at almost half the market price. It came with the camera without any information about the mounting, so I think that's why no ppl taking it.

As you said, this lens is soft wide open, almost dreamy, but it's quite worth the price :bsmilie:

Congratulations on the find.

The lens itself can go as high as the Cosina/Revuenon/Tomioka just because many ppl think they are the same or that its an f1.2 lens

The Sigma mini wide II, not as good as Pentax M, but great for B&W

Adding the Ricoh. Ricoh has a similar optical design as Pentax, but atmosphere is different

Here is the Sears 135mm macro. A nice lens indeed

This lens is made in Korea. Its not from Japan.

Ricoh also made lens for Sears. But the Japanese very funny, their Sears lens are better than their own Ricoh Rikenon in many cases.

The 28mm with XR-X

Cream Puff's 135mm is mine now, it went thru pro cleaning in Boston

My favourite 50mm 1.7

The 50mm F2 has cult status. This one was used to death. Its a pretty nice lens but can flare easily.

XR-R in formation. You may not see this cam in Singapore because it was for European market.

The bright view finder is hard to beat. Pancake lens is DIRT CHEAP but on par with many lenses, certain BEAT the same N or C lens...

All these lense fits the K-x or K-r or K7 well.

Many thanks to Feng Wei. The M42 adapters work great on dSLR (in this case K-r).

It will not work on old Pentax, Ricoh film SLR because a slot is missing.

Note that all Pentax M42 marking will line up nicely. But the Russian ones.... erg.... they don't usually line up well. We know that.

M42 pentax macro lens rocks.
