No commemorative royalty, just a commoner, scratched here and there, quirky, but great photos and fun. My favorite M model, fast intutive street shooter when needed.

* Used MF film camera on these after all ...

Hey
what did you use to shoot these pics ?
They look marvelous...not another leica , right?
Seems like you using TLR ...hmmmm

Now i am itching to shoot BnW again :o

Wow... both very clean and nice still. I am thinking of getting a M3!

Anyone got a battered and abused Leica?

They are the ideal pair for me. I use the lens too cos I can't fight the temptation not to!

'It's a skating rink!' That's what my friend said when he saw the bright marks all over the body. Must be the riverts on my jeans. I don't recall my M6 black to have this problem though.

The TKO happened one day when I thought I had the strap of the camera but it was actually my bag handle. The sound of metal clunking on hard tarmac never hurt so good!

There is something REALLY nice about a worn and battered Leica
Makes me feel warm all over
:D

p.s. The Rollei 40mm hood can be purchased new. I know where to get it.

You can process the transaction, but you wait for weeks before you will get an email to say that the item is out of stock.

Coming soon, 100% flawless copy: :bsmilie:

I just saw the actual lens hood last night. I was at 3 different shops and 2 of them have it. They have both the 40 mm in black and silver as well as the 80mm in both colors.

But we should not digress to far from Leica......

Cheers,

My screw mount Leica family........

Since you have two....

Can you do a comparison of the two with a subject and possibly backlighted? Like in front of a window or something?

What about some Nikkors for Leicas? The Nikkor lengend, another Sonnar!!!!

"This lens is one of THE best portrait lens ever made. A legendary lens. And rightly so. The Nikkor 85/2 was already outstanding and made the name for Nikon in the 50's and 60's. Nikon took it one step further and created this masterpiece in the 105mm.

Full aperture is already excellent. Stopped down the performance is hard to match. You have to dig deep and use the Leica 90mm APO to surpass its performance."

Ya, CooperS forgot a friend:bsmilie::bsmilie::bsmilie:

Oh yah and yours black painted some more....

I cannot afford to collect man... for me the best 35mm Summicron is the pre-asph. So I really didn't think the asph was necessary except for the Summilux asph.

Gommy, do a 35mm test between the 2 Summicrons leh ;)
