My first RF is an Olympus 35RC that has been in the family for over 30 years. I had used it when I was little, but this is really my first real venture into RF after DSLR. Leica M9P with 35mm Summicron. Now I am holding back (or rather the dear wife !) urge looking at the 50mm Summilux. Good to see this RF community, learning a lot here.

Beautiful setup! It will certainly keep you happy for quite some time :P before the GAS hits u. The 50lux is a good next step :P

No lah. Already said in my post that my dear wife is putting the brakes on the 50 Summilux. The name Lanna is a tribute to her origin. Thanks for the welcome.

I see from your recent pic of your son, you have given in and bought yourself a lovely Summilux 50mm f1.4 ASPH. Nice! Next will be the Summilux 35 FLE.:angel::angel::angel:

After several years without one, early this week I bought a Leica :cool:

vintage -> modern style

(dats a M8 under the "bah zhang" look.... yes, dats wat funksoluva called it last saturday... ;p)

What is the one in the middle? :)

oh dat... heh... it's a 28mm/f2.8. never realised they used to make so small lenses in the past. :cool:

i guess that's wat making RF fun for me now... using lenses that are as old as my dad... the workmanship and IQ is amazing for such old lenses.

nightwolf, is tat a 85mm F2? i think i have one of those, how do you get it clean up like this?

nope. it's the 85/1.9. the previous CSer who owned this kept it in immaculate condition. a little stiff ard the aperture and zoom rings. i'm bringing it to chiif to get his advice on whether to lub it or not. :)

Perfect set up for the M9 P is over for now.
