Especially so with older 1950s lenses where the actual DOF is usually less than the theoretical DOF, and hyperfocusing usually does not give good results. That's been my experience anyway... WMMV

i personally consider the hyperfocal technique to be a subset of zone focusing

Now that's the best way to describe hyperfocusing in relation to zone focusing!

I think the leather I got is slightly different than yours. Yours has a smooth kind of shinny finish, mine is a bit rougher. I got mine from Cameraleather, it is the Walnut Goat Skin, I got it delivered in 2 weeks and for half the price compare to leather offered by the guy in HK.
