,,,
was looking for that leather casing!! where did you get it from?![]()
The Zhou case if from our voigtlander dealer Chiif cameras, he also has the normal voigtlander VC5 full case
oh mr zhou case :bsmilie: alright should be expensive haha..
Its value for money, for the price i paid to get this fit and finish. the more ex ones are branded; A&A for one, you pay for brand, quality and finish.
alright.
still considering between vc5 or zhou case
For Bessa? Just get the zhou case.
I tried the Voigtlander ones, didnt like them.
My bessa last time had luigi case but I prefer zhou. More pratically. Luigi gets scuffs easily but the leather smell is  smell like branded leather bag
My new toy Minolta Model II V2.

Recently purchased, 1 of the best Japanese RF, at least in build quality, havent try to use it yet. Everything works fine except that the viewfinder a bit dim, may send for CLA before loading any film. Lens seems a bit strange, I could only find info about 50mm f2.8 and f1.8, couldn't find any info about f2. Anybody can shed some light on this lens? Dr Gommy? Prof Benny?

Wow, Chiyoko 50mmf2! I've got one too. I was told there are 2 versions of it. Earlier with E40.5 filter thread & later with E43 filter thread.
There is also the 45mmf2.8, nicknamed "Sakura" cos it aperture ring makes it looks like a flower. I first bought the Sakura cos I thot it has a unique look.
Nice catch there! Non Leica branded gear don't usually get much attention here. Whilst I haven't played with the camera myself, I think quite a few here may have tried the lens before. I know for sure that Gommy is still keeping his.
This particular Minolta 35 II is indeed the second version, as identified by the "CHIYODA KOGAKU" marking on the top plate. Probably a 1958 production. Including the first version, total production is speculated at 21000 pieces only. The Super Rokkor 50mm f/2.0 lens on it is the original factory specification. 7 elements in 4 group, it was launched in 1955. I'm not too sure about the two variant of the 50mm f/2 lens with differing filter size. Version 1 is usually mated with the standard Super Rokkor 45mm f/2.8 lens. The 50mm f/2.8 version of the lens was also sold with some Model II V2 cameras. The 50mm f/1.8 is a black barrel lens (like the Canon 50mm f/1.4 LTM) and was introduced later as a standard lens with the Model IIB.
The complete lens line up and brief specification can be be found here. Some of the lenses are really difficult to track down. The M mount 50mm f/1.4 may have only 100 pieces in existence as it's a prototype.
More information about the Minolta 35 RF cameras.
The built quality of these vintage beauties are amazing. Enjoy your new toy!
