Nikon S + Nikkor S.C 5cm f1.4 + VC Meter + APX 100 + ID11

One of my personal favourite...

Nikon S + Nikkor 5cm f1.4 + VC Meter + APX + ID11

So I was asked several times how to identify the difference Canon 7 cameras. I think this picture of the top plate will distinguish all variants easily.

The Canon 7 has no hotshoe, a curved meter display, a small rewind knob.

The Canon 7s has a hot shoe, a square meter display flushed with the body, a small rewind knob and the marking "7s"

The Canon 7sZ has a hot shoe, a square meter display raised slightly above the body, a big rewind know and a round screw above the marking "n".

Some Canon 7s may have the large rewind knob as well, so look out for the meter display or the screw above the "n".

I know there are some new Canon RF owners today. Enjoy your new cameras!

Cheers,

They are good stuff! :)

And the meter is the second most important thing in the photo taking process... so must include in.

I am guessing that your Nikon RF collection will continue to grow from now on :) Any chance that you will bring in only the S-mount VC 50 f3.5 heliar itself?

For the fans of the Nikon S3 2000 and Nikon SP 2005, also take a look at these translations by me linked below. Cheers, Jon

Nikonos, a rangefinder?

Help push this thread up.:)
A Rare?? Canon50mmf2.2. It has a 'dummy' ∞ lock. It is pleasantly sharp & has rather nice bokeh as well.
According to Peter Kitchingman: "This lens was regarded as a budget lens and was released only for the Japanese domestic market .....the lens was on sale for only six months.."
