Sure... why not. Get the price from IT show then compared it with the street price. Who knows, you might get it cheaper (rarely, but not entirely impossible). Also in IT show, people are lured to get much more expensive items with lots of free gifts... unless they are giving out dry cabinet (not dry box), most (if not all) of the free gifts are actually cheapo stuffs that you wouldn't use most of the time, so do the maths carefully.
Just a word of caution... buy only what you have done research on and call the sales person to go fly kite if they try to sell you other accessory like seven hundred dollars filter which basically only cost a couple of dollars.

ditto what Rhino said..... i u want cheapo freebies (which is factored into the price to make it look like a great deal) sure go ahead and wait for IT show
if you are very equipment and accessories specific ..... just buy what you need without freebies...
do your homework first about prices and do not go blindly into a shop not know what the average market price is for the item you have in mind
know how to spot the various switch and bait tactics too
For sure support the camera stores with your business BUT stay educated on pricing

For a peace of mind I suggest reading up more about the shops which have received favourable reviews around here. Not too keen on the IT show personally given the crowds and the fact that deals are not always what they seem to be if you check out the traditional camera shops' offers first.
It is the same like asking should I order ala cart meal (pick only the specify items you want), or a set meal (bundle package listed by manufactures), or buffet (promotion package offer by dealers, includes many cheap stuffs to sweeten the deal).
