Should i get the E-3 now?

If ur GF ever ask, just always quote on discounted price like 700 or 800 and is very cheap. A discount that u dont find often. I usually do that on all purchase to prevent nagging. hehehe. Congrats on ur purchase and have fun with it.

I just asked them.. and they say the 1720 price is in USD? how weird is that??

I've asked Cathay today and they quoted me S$2.2k+ with bag and 8GB CF card. They also quoted me the Pancake for S$399!!

CP prices are usually on the high side as they sell at List Price.

Then CP may not be a good choice for me then. Anyhow i wasn't happy with their customer service. So what other places will be good to buy? sorry to be asking as i usually get my stuff from States and i really dun know much about the camera stores here.

I would say wait for either the next generation after E3 or the tweener. The next generation will have you a better sensor performance, the the tween will give you E3 functionality at a much cheaper price (I hope), without the weather proof build though.
In opinion, just hold off and get the next generation after E3. The E420 is plenty good for now, just get a rain cover for the wet conditions.

Continue to buy from the States to save money. All Olympus gear are with international warranty.
