Ya. I've been in there so many times and he still looks the same. But when talking to him, he is ok. It is the standard China-man style. But he gives that face to everyone, regulars or new customers, angmo or asian.

Hi all,

Just like to share my experience with a shop at SLS. i was shopping for nikon D90 initially and had done research on the price. I chanced upon this shop at the 2nd floor, near the escalator, 'CameraTalk' and the uncle quote me $1450 for the kit set, which is cheaper than the asking price of $1.6k ard. I decided on it but the uncle persuaded me to get the canon camera D500, as he mention that the focusing motor in nikon camera is louder and is of a poorer quality. And nikon camera and lens is made in thailand, whereas it is made in japan for canon. Somehow, i was rather convinced and swayed by him to get the canon camera and he tried to sell me additional lens, filter etc. I got a 70-300mm lens in the end but i realised after my purchase that i paid $100-$200 more for it as it does not hv stabilizer nor the Ultrasonic motor(USM) (It's my first time getting a DSLR, wasn't aware of these).:angry:

Well, money's paid and goods are clearly not refundable or exchangeable on the receipt. Just to let u guys know and not to patron this shop

OP is not bad too, bought my camera body from there. might be getting another lens from there as i heard their price for tht lens pretty gd

bought my audison car amp from edison some time ago after doing some research. price is ok for the amp, other products i'm not very sure. But i would certainly avoid sim lim for dslr except top floor orient

There are only a few reputable shops in SLS.

The rest are "mei dian" aka black shop.

The same w Chinatown.
