Anyone here noticed pretty noticeable click sound from the 20mm when you move the camera? It sounded like an IS or VR click and I hear it when the camera is on. Did a search but nothing surfaced. Someone mentioned it in a review on Amazon though. Anyone? Thanks.

Yes. seems like mine also have it. But is only when i on the Camera. it is more like the lens retracting in/out within 1sec kinda..:dunno:

apart from that. It doesn't affect any operation.:sweatsm:

yes panny m4/3 lenses are quieter for videos and are said to focus faster

i dont have the 20mm but based on youtube samples i think its still quiter than the 14-42 oly kit. the oly kit is really noisy. but if he really want quiet, maybe 20mm is not the best to get.

for me i just do manual focus on the oly kit

yup, and overall better IQ than oly m4/3 kit. reviews say the panny is on par with 4/3 version of Oly 14-42mm in terms of IQ

I've both oly kit 14-42mm and the panny 20mm. To me both noise are on par, probably 20mm is a little quieter.

Panny 14-45mm is silent, can't hear anything in a quiet room unless put my face close to it.

i have found the answer to the "vr" sound. it is the opening and tightening of aperture while the camera sense background changes from lighter to darker or darker to lighter. Take a look at your lens aperture blade while you move around.

There are plenty of stock if you find hard enough. When i bought mine a month ago, i called up the entire list of reputable/non-reputable shops and i still can compare prices from 3 different shops.
