Sharing a good Canon deal @ ddelectronic (SG)

Thanks for the share mclicks77 !

It's a good reference shop so far ;-)

But i don't any filter sell there .

If you want filter, they have it right behind the cashier counter. Mostly Hoya ones. It is slightly cheaper than other places that sell it. I bought a 58mm HMC at $25-2% cash payment, so its $24.50.

Look under accessories in their website and you can find filter prices there. If you stay Ang Mo Kio or in the west, might as well just get from MS or Parisilk. Save the transport fee. But in general the pricing is good.

Already bought 3 canon lens from them.
EF-S 18-55mm IS for only $120
EF-S 55-250mm IS for only $241
EF-S 18-135mm IS for only $402

They already start increasing their price! better buy now b4 their price goes up again!

I want to get the 'EF-S 55-250mm IS'. How long is the warranty and is it international? You order first then you go down to the shop or they already have stock in their shop. Thanks.

They do not have stock for 55-250mm. You have to do an online order with them first, and the part should come in about 5~6 working days. You only pay at the shop when you collect your lens. BTW, 55-250mm is now S$280/-, no more S$241/- :(

Sian 1/2!

well if you are on a crop camera, I think the 30 1.4 should be nice, but on full frame, the 35 1.4 is the lens to have :p

YEs. 30 1.4 is better for crop .
35 1.4 is a bit too tight for standard glued to camera usage. I almost got run over by a car trying to move back when I travelled with just 35L on my 7D.

Please note the items are shop warranty only. So if you have a complex lens calibration problem for example, then good luck to you!

Local sets give you the privilege to thrash with Canon service personnel directly.

This is the bad point. But it should be alright i guess.

IMHO, it does sound better getting from DD than from B&S since both side prices is very much similar.

The only difference is B&S(90% out of warranty), DD gives u 1 year shop warranty and a place for you to make noise at should the equipment face an issue within that 1 year.

or just add S$56 for additional 2yrs...

This really will help to make the BnS Price more REASONABLE

85L is out of stock just now :bheart:

BnS still sells for more than what dde offers...

Anyone know will csc service my items bought from them after 1 year shop warranty. If not, when I extend their warranty to 2&3 year, do i need to pay for shipping ( understand they need to ship overseas ).

from my understanding you dont have to pay for shipping if you will collect locally.

as of the warranty, I dont see why CSC wont service your item if you are going to pay for it?

Nsc seems not servicing it unless it is under local distribution or valid international warranty accompanied by overseas receipt even you pay for it.

This is to protect local distributors business else they will close shop if all flock to buy parallel import. Work just like car, I think.

they will service ur stuff after 1 year warranty is over but ofcourse u need to pay for it and i dun think csc will service for free the stuff u buy from dd cos it's consider as a grey unit, they only service local shop with canon sg warranty, if u buy from overseas for example hongkong(with green warranty card) they will honor ur unit warranty for 1 year but u cannot extend international warranty duration.

Clarification, what I meant is out of warranty servicing and paying for it? If csc refuse to service parallel import lens or body then will have issue if DD is not around later. It is as good as throwing equipment away when something went wrong even it is minor. there will little resale value if I need to sell later for financing upgrade.

just found this reading consumer forums : http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showpost.php?p=6991284&postcount=197

can any owner of canon products verify the fine print mentioned in the international warranty

if you are so worry about it, please make a phone call to them and double check with them (CSC). I would love to know too since I bought my camera from DD

May I know around how much will a 550D Kit Bundle be?
