just the other day by changi beach with my 400d

Very good shot and well composed.
I'm trying different types of composition and came across this type last time. had some difficulties in controlling the exposure. Either i get the good exposure on the boat and then and overexposed sunset or a well exposed sunset and the underexpose of the boat or just like silhouette type.

Could you please share the technique or tips on how to get this type of shot with equivalent exposures.

just got myself a 1D markII the other day and used it to shoot some school soccer today... my god i am simply astonished at how fast this beast is compared to my 20D... the ai servo tracking just picks up on anything i move it too its amazing!!!

heres a couple to demonstrate how quiccck this might beast is... literally for both these shots i had just pulled the camera up to my face and had been tracking for milliseconds and it already achieves this sharp a photo... now i truly understand why this was, and still is a pro body camera haha

btw your WTS in your signature is not allowed. pls remove it.

Photo removed. Sorry.

New 7D, just want to show the high ISO for discussion. I think it is quite good. No noise reduction.

Went to the Museum to test out the 7D. Since most of the places here does not allow flash photography, this is one of the best places to test out the sensor and noise control of the 7D.

It's only after going thru the images on the iMac that one has to appreciate the noise control on the 7D.
None of these photos were editted except for resizing to fit into this browser.
Please note that the actual full-sized images are sharper than the resized ones.

Colours and white balance is very accurate too considering the fact that it was lighted up with spotlights.

Camera : EOS 7D
Lens : 18-135 kits lens
Aperture : F4
Speed : 1/5 sec (hand-held as I didn't bring tripod)
ISO : 800
Flash : Off (no flash allowed)
Remarks : Was simply amazed with the detail of the tapestry/warrior gowns on display. Wanted to shoot with a smaller aperture, but since it was a flat focus, decided to leave it at F4. Maybe I should have stopped down to F8 or something like that.
Custom Pattern downloaded from Canon site.

Camera : EOS 7D
Lens : 18-135 kits lens
Aperture : F4
Speed : 1/13 sec (hand-held as I didn't bring tripod)
ISO : 3200
Flash : Off (no flash allowed)
Remarks : Actual lighting condition in the Photography Gallery was rather dimmed. Had to increase exposure to +1/3 stops.

Gosh, I had to imagine what would have happened if all cameras are this size. Imagine the size of the camera bag :D LOL

Man....this is poisonous! Was hesitant abt the 7D cos could barely afford but pleased to see now that the kit lens is actually quite decent. How's your experience with this setup so far? Thks

i went there last year, i like the seafood , gelato in bocadassee, ... took some pictures too ...

the sad part, the 16GB card was fried when i tried another picture after changing the lens and wanted to take another picture here (after returned from italy)
lost about 300 photos

lesson learned a hard way:
i should download those pictures immediately after the trip

My shot at Tokyo Disney last week. This was taken with the Canon 15-85mm IS USM lens on a 450D. With enough light, this lens performs really well and is great for travel. But I would still be sticking to my Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 for low light shots.
