I'm sorry I don't use tri-x. maybe you should expand the choices of film you use.
a very good point :) Its just that i know tri-x so well now and how it responds in various situations both over and under exposed that i'm reluctant to stock other films. It works well for me from iso125 to iso1600. Its nonetheless a well composed shot.

how about LOLA CHOO(or was it CHEW)???

I had Lola Choo for my Primary 1 teacher in St Stephen's School.

Then I had her for History in Secondary 1 and Secondary 2 at St Patrick's School. I remember her because she used to make us underline everything in the text book, except the questions.

By the way, Tay Cheng Khoon passes away a few weeks ago.

I am still in touch with Cyril Louis, who has migrated to Canada.

Trying out my new lens.

Make a guess which lens....remember I have a 1.5x crop factor.

I'm guessing, a standard 50 or a 90?

Bingo....50mm on a 1.5x = 75mm perspective. Although the DOF and focal length is still 50mm. It's basically a cropped 50mm picture.

There are many 50's...which?? ;)

Old man collecting scraps. He was collecting scraps and loading them into his two large canvas bags that weighed on his shoulders as he ploughed on in search of new sources. His facial expression depicts his resignation to life's struggles made me follow him to shoot. I had a shot of him staring at me but it was this side view expression that weighed down on my heart.

Stopped down to f2.0.

I'm guessing, a Nokton 50mm f/1.5? That's a great lens for low light. There's a Noctilux f/1, but I think it's too expensive to consider.

I like the picture of the old man. The range of tones are very good, plus the composure and the focus are spot on. Great job. :)

Thanks. There is a steep earning curve to the RF camera and this 50mm lens.

I treasure my EOS and autofocus.

Here's another RF shot. Hope you like it.

do u face the focus shift issue with the zm 50mm f/1.5?

Not really tried yet. I shot my son at f1.5, 1/125s. ISO 200. I did make a conscious effort to move in just a little (4-5 cm) after achieving focus as I know this lens front focusses between f1.5 to f2.0. I focussed on the eye that has highest contrast at the pupil.

I do like the f1.5 look. Very dreamy due to the shallow DOF. I am still considering if I want to get it factory-adjusted to focus correctly at f/1.5.
