Well, I have just unsharpened them ... I think I need a better scanner ... or follow someone's advice to put glass over the negatives/slides when scanning ... it will be sharper if I made the pics smaller :bsmilie:, but I like big

They are definitely moving, and it is impossible to get a fast shutter speed to totally freeze the action (no flash used)), so I just tried to catch them when they aren't moving vigorously. They play easy-listening jazz tunes anyway, so their movements are slower. I used a Leica 50mm lens, 1/30, f/4 (to be able to use zone focusing/preset focus).

clubgrit: For the concert hall, what kind of lens and approx camera settings used? They are so sharp as if the performers did not move. Nice!

Some taken last night while testing concert hall shots ... first time trying Perceptol developer as well on Kodax Tmax 400 ...

Ah, so you are the guy shooting with RF!! I was there too.

Oh, really ... I was practising for the bigger events to come :)

I only saw two guys with big cameras there, the others were sightseers with their compacts ... which one were you ?

Anyway, it was great music, they are a good band, easily going through Sonny Rollins, Jobim, Hancock ...

This is mine. Done on 35mm Summilux ASPH & CN400. Scanned using negatives by Konota. Non edited.

Most here probably at least process on their own. Otherwise, try Riceball, Konota, Ruby ... high-end scanning by kex above :)

Great shots, Where do you people do the processing of B&W/Color films? Please advise and thanks.

OK... keep this thread active... here is another favourite picture of mine.... :)

i was using tripod with a d60.

Thanks, now I remember ... I should acknowledge other photogs next time :embrass:

I didn't go back to the performance next day, though, didn't have time ... would have been great, as I was told by one listener there that they would have a guest jazz guitarist ...

This is good, almost looks cross-processed ...

Thanks. Don't usually x-pro my stuff.. Actually have yet to push the limits of negs so much so as to shoot on trans. Winebar at zouk or even some pubs n clubs, have really nice lights.. all the clash of colors :)

Here is another one I took Wed night which I posted in the Portrait section, this time with a 1986 Leitz 135mm/4 Tele-Elmar lens. First time using it, size of subject at closest range is about the same as the 90mm at its closest, it's just that it can go further ...

Really like it, will try Superia ... and Zouk ;)
